Welcome to Providence Place, a family owned company founded in 1998 by former Pennsylvania Governor George M. Leader. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our senior residents by delivering vibrant programs and exceptional service at an affordable price. At Providence Place, residents and coworkers make choices that influence their lives and work.
Our vision is to shape the future of senior care by creating a culture and environment where residents are in control of their lives, have a sense of purpose, and make meaningful contributions to their community and those around them.
A “Layering of Services” Approach to Senior Care
Our Levels of Care for Aging Adults
At Providence Place Senior Living, there’s no “one size fits all” thinking. We recognize that seniors may have differing levels of need throughout their time with us. To help meet those levels of care, we have created a “layering of services” approach. This approach enables us to provide the best value for all of our residents and allows us to add services (and associated costs) only when you need them.
Independent Living
provides a range of services and amenities for seniors. This includes help with daily chores, eliminating home maintenance, vibrant group activities, transportation, and three daily meals. Additionally, an independent living facility offers a safe and supportive community to live in as you improve with age.
Assisted Living
Assisted Living and Personal Care is a long-term care option for seniors who may need help with daily living tasks. Our compassionate team of caregivers, or Resident Life Associates, take the time to learn your routines and preferences. Whether we’re offering support with bathing, meals, dressing, or medication, we want to provide the right level of assistance while encouraging residents to retain as much independence as they choose.
Memory Care
Memory care helps seniors living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia maintain their quality of life through daily living assistance and brain fitness activities. Although there is no cure for dementia and memory loss, the progression of the disease can potentially be slowed with the right care.
Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation services, such as physical, occupational and speech therapy, can significantly improve residents’ quality of life. Providence Place is pleased to offer on-site rehabilitation services provided by Powerback Rehab Services
Short-Term Stays
Interested residents can stay at one of our retirement communities for up to 30 days and should the resident decide to stay longer than the 30-day trial period, they will then be considered a full-time resident. Contact us today for more information about a trial stay.

We provide a model for living that supports aging in place. This means residents don’t have to relocate to another apartment to receive more assistance when or if it is needed. All of our Pennsylvania retirement communities offer independent living, assisted living or personal care, and two-levels of memory care (early and late stage dementia care).
