Hummelstown, PA: The Republican Herald Newspaper announced the winners of its 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards in a special edition of the paper on May 5th. Schuylkill County community members cast their votes to nominate their favorite local businesses in a number of categories.

The business within each category that received the most votes was named the winner. Under the Service Category, Providence Place Senior Living was named Best Assisted Living. “We’re thrilled to have earned this distinction for two consecutive years. It’s an honor to serve Schuylkill County’s seniors at both locations- Pine Grove and Pottsville” says Ashley Uhler, Vice President of Marketing for Providence Place.

Providence Place is a family-owned company that operates five senior residences in the state of Pennsylvania. Providence Place of Pottsville, located at 2200 First Avenue, is the company’s first community, built in 1998. Providence Place of Pine Grove, located at 24 Hikes Hollow Road, is the company’s newest property, acquired in 2014.
