Our New Dining Program
Providence Place residents have more control over their dining program than ever before. Under the guidance of Corporate Dining Director, Chef Eric Notter, resident dining committees were formed. These committees help shape the Providence Place dining experience.
The resident dining committees play an important role in designing our menus. The new menus include the addition of:
- In-season produce purchased from local farm stands
- Local favorites (regional recipes), and
- Heart-healthy menu alternates
In addition to fresh produce, local cuisine, and healthier choices, residents have more flexibility with meal times. We now offer open seating for breakfast. The dining room is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 am to accommodate residents’ preferences. Likewise, a range of seating times are offered for lunch and dinner. This allows residents to have more control over when they eat their meals.
Everyone likes to have choices. This is especially true when it comes to food. At Providence Place, we offer residents a choice of two entrees for lunch and dinner, as well as their choice of soup, including a soup du jour. All of our soups, most of our entrees, and many desserts are homemade on-site by our cooks.
Aside from the delicious and freshly prepared meals served in our dining rooms, Providence Place residents enjoy around-the-clock access to a complimentary beverage and snack bar, including freshly-baked cookies, fresh fruit, and ice cream.
Mealtime is even more enjoyable for Providence Place residents thanks to the addition of several new special events, like wine and dine and healthy cooking demonstrations led by Chef Eric Notter.
