Assisted Living & Personal Care

Personal Care and Assisted Living is a long-term care option for seniors who may need help with daily living tasks. Our compassionate team of caregivers, or Resident Life Associates, take the time to learn your routines and preferences. Whether we’re offering support with bathing, meals, dressing, or medication, we want to provide the right level of assistance while encouraging residents to retain as much independence as they choose.

We try to make the transition to our senior living communities as seamless as possible for our residents through custom personal care services, social opportunities, and a premier dining experience.

Memory Care and Assisted Living

Not all assisted living facilities provide memory care, but Providence Place offers programs for early or mid-to-late stage dementia and Alzheimer’s. Because of our unique services model, you can add early-stage or late-stage memory care at any time. While we strive to let you age-in-place, residents with late-stage dementia may eventually need to move to our Connections Neighborhood. This is a secure yet homelike neighborhood in our communities that keeps our residents safe from the risk of wandering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure if Assisted Living & Personal Care is right for you? Here are some of the most common questions we get about this level of care.

When your loved one can no longer care for themselves and you cannot meet their needs, it’s time for Assisted Living. Community living provides the peace-of-mind that is best for everyone. Common signs you should consider assisted senior care include:

  • Inadequate nutrition (spoiled food in the house or no food at all)
  • Lack of personal hygiene
  • Unpaid bills and other financial issues
  • Unkempt living space
  • Diminished social life

If your loved one cannot feed themselves, get dressed, use the bathroom, and perform other daily tasks by themselves, assisted living services can provide the care they need.

Yes, married couples can live together in Providence Place assisted living facilities. All of our residents have their own home-like apartments and can receive customized services as needed. Our caregivers come to you, so there’s no need to move to a different facility to receive care.

The different types of senior care can be confusing. What sets Assisted Living apart from nursing homes, Independent Living, and other facilities is the level of services offered. Assisted Living provides more support than Independent Living, but less medical care than skilled nursing facilities. This type of community is a good fit for seniors who are in relatively good health but are struggling to care for themselves due to normal aging concerns.
