Two Providence Place Communities Receive National Award

June 14, 2016-Hummelstown, PA.

On June 1st the American Health Care Association (AHCA) announced that 537 long term care providers earned the 2016 Commitment to Quality Award. Providence Place’s Dover and Pine Grove communities are among the 15 Pennsylvania based facilities to receive this distinction.

The first step in the National Quality Award Program is the Bronze Commitment to Quality Award. The goal of this award level is to provide applicants with the tools and resources they need for continuous performance improvement. The award is the first of three distinctions possible through the Association’s National Quality Award Program, which honors long term care providers that have demonstrated their commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors.

To be considered for this award, members are required to assess their organization’s mission, vision, and key success factors. Bronze Award

Vice President of Operations, Rick Barley, and Corporate Director of Wellness, Kim Perchak, coordinated the application process and submitted the necessary documentation to be considered for the award.

“This will help us build a foundation for the 2nd step-the Silver Achievement in Quality Award Level”, remarks Barley. This year’s recipients will be recognized at the Quality Award Ceremony during AHCA’s 67th Annual Convention and Exposition in Nashville, Tennessee, October 16-19, 2016.
